For Exhibitors
The FaVU Gallery presents six to seven exhibitions each year. Each project is launched with an opening event attended by the artists, curators and faculty representatives. We also support the expansion of these projects through accompanying programmes, such as guided tours, workshops or lectures on topics related to the exhibitions. The exhibition projects are not predetermined by theme or medium, the main criterion is the quality of the project in relation to the spatial and temporal context. Projects for the FaVU Gallery exhibition programme are selected through an open call. This usually takes place during the summer months and is distributed through Czech and international communication channels focused on the visual arts.
The Gallery Advisory Board makes the decision to include a project in the exhibition programme. The Board is composed of faculty teachers, representatives of the professional public and the curatorial team. The selection process has two stages. From the pool of projects recommended by the Board, the curatorial team compiles a final selection of six to seven dramaturgically consistent projects.
The gallery's growing reputation among the youngest generation of visual artists is evidenced by the steadily increasing number of applications submitted and the participation of international artists. For the 2025 exhibition year, 96 projects were submitted in total.
